About the Maker
Waves of Wax was founded in 2016 when Ashley combined her greatest passions: the beach and the science of candle making. What began as a creative idea quickly grew into a brand rooted in quality, creativity and coastal inspiration.
Ashley uses premium soy wax and clean fragrance oils to craft beach-themed candles and tart melts that are both beautifully scented and thoughtfully made. Each product is designed to capture the feeling of sun, sand and sea-whether through unique, custom-blended fragrances or timeless classic scents.
Ashley loves connecting with customers in person and embraces the challenge creating themed collections for vendor events. You’ll often find Waves of Wax at local craft shows and markets, where creativity, community and a love of handcrafted goods come together.

8 oz crackling wood wick in a stylish tin, 16 oz double-cotton wick in an apothecary style jar and 2.5 oz clamshell tart melts (6 cubes in each)
If trimmed properly, the 16 oz apothecary jar candle can last upwards of 100-120 hours. The 8 oz tin can last upwards to 40-50 hours. Candles shouldn’t be left unattended and should only be burnt from 3-5 hours at a time.
Waves of Wax is proud to say that all candles are “clean,” meaning the ingredients in the candles are free from the 5 main Hazard Groups including Carcinogens, Mutagens, Reproductive Toxins, Organ Toxins, Acute Toxins and they are also 100% phthalate free! The wax is 100% soy, the wood wicks are eco-friendly, clean burning wood and the LX series wicks are 100% cotton.
The wood wick candles can be tricky to light for the first time, as the fragrance oil soaks into the wood. We suggest you light it with a long handled lighter and let it burn out, then trim the wick straight across and light again. Be sure to make the wick even across the top so it ignites evenly and not just one side of the wood wick.
